The Renault Duster has proven mighty popular since its launch in 2013, with over 10000 units sold for the French marque. Now Renault is introducing tangible enhancements to its popular SUV for 2016, which is available now (from middle October).
In essence the model variants remain the same – the petrol Duster 1.6 77kW Expression 4×2 and Dynamique 4×2. Followed by the Duster 1.5 80kW dCi Dynamique 4×2, and Duster 1.5 80kW dCi Dynamique 4×4, Renault is quick to remind us the diesel consumes a claimed 4.8l/100km. But it’s the new kit as well as a fresh look and feel of the My2016 that we’re interested in.
There’s kit like trendy new black alloys, modernised headlamps and tail lights, a rear camera standard on Dynamique models, electric rear windows standard on Expression models and drive away lock standard on all variants. There is a new streamlined centre console featuring 7-inch MediaNav touchscreen on-board navigation for Dynamique variants, as well as refreshed fabric on inner seat segments and door panels, with leather optional on all three Dynamique derivatives.
We do love the no-frills no-fuss attitude of the current Renault Duster so we can’t imagine we won’t get along with the enhanced version. Tough, unpretentious, rugged, reliable, the Duster should be just the ticket to get the family out the house. Better still the Renault Duster MY16 range carries the same price tag as previously.
