South Africans are a talented bunch. Whether it’s in sport, music or business, you’ll find superstars in large numbers. But when it comes to car design, just a handful have made a name for themselves in the international arena. The fact is without an industry to support it, South African car design classifies firmly in the pastime category. But that hasn’t quenched the passion or curbed the flow of creative juices from a growing number of digital designers who are living out that passion in the world of 3D modelling. One such South African is Idries Noah, who describes himself as a freelance automotive concept and visualisation designer with car studio design experience. We featured his Lotus i6 concept in the November 2008 edition of Topcar magazine, but since then, he’s been hard at work on an all-new supercar…
It’s called the BMW M Concept and you can read all about it in the July issue of Topcar magazine.

And here’s his earlier Lotus Europa i6 concept.
