Audi has just introduced an entry-level 3.0 TDI engine to the A7 range. With 150kW on offer the 3.0-litre TDI will consume just 5.3l/100km corresponding to groundbreaking CO₂ emissions of just 139 g/km. Pricing has been confirmed at R 649 500 inclusive of all taxes and the standard 5-year/100 000km Audi Freeway Plan. Included in the price are a high specification levels which, include among others things, items such as a driver information system, electrically adjustable and heated exterior mirrors, interior lighting package, milano leather seat trim, park distance control front/rear and Xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights.
To round off the offering in this segment, the highly anticipated RS7 Sportback will be launched later this year. Utelising a 4.0-litre V8 twin turbo engine it will generate 412 kW and a constant 700 Nm of torque spread between 1,750 and 5,500 rpm. The sprint from zero to 100 km/h takes just 3.9 seconds making it one of the fastest RS cars to date.
